​About Brod Libby Villegas 68A

          Brod Libby was a Professional Lecturer in Insurance Law, Labor Relations Law and Environmental Law. He retired in 2003 as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Petron Corporation and was in private law practice. Prior professional engagements include stints as Assistant Government Corporate Counsel of the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel, partner of Puno Puno & Carlos Law office, Counsel of Philippine Airlines, Personnel Manager and Industrial Relations Manager of the Philippine Refining Company, and associate of the Siguion-Reyna Montecillo & Ongsiako Law Offices and of the Bengzon Villegas Zarraga Law Offices.

              He taught at the Ateneo Law School from 1975 until 1994. He subsequently went on leave and came back in 2004 after his retirement from Petron Corporation. He also taught in the College of Law of Lyceum of the Philippines and in the Department of Engineering of the National University.

             He was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ateneo Law Alumni Association and was active in the Alumni Affairs of National University, having been its past President.
           He was a Civil Engineer having graduated from the National University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and placed 11th in the 1965 Civil Engineering Board Examinations. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws in 1971 from Ateneo Law School, graduating salutatorian and placed 3rd in the 1971 Bar Examinations. After retirement, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Sanitary Engineering.

           Brod Libby was also a Pastoral Worker, Ang Ligaya Ng Panginoon Catholic Charismatic Community Knights of Columbus, Member and a former Grand Knight.
